Friends and the friends feed are built, but they stay switched off until trained moderators, a safety plan for teens in danger, and a legal review are all in place. Every post and comment will be read by a real person before friends see it.

Until then, your private journal, check-in and coping tools are all open.

How we keep friends safe

You can only add someone with a one-time code they give you. There’s no search, no directory and no “people you may know”.
Both of you have to say yes.
Usernames only. No real names, photos or locations. Posts with phone numbers, emails, links or other apps are stopped.
Teens can only be friends with teens (13–17). Adults can’t add teens.
No private messages between members.
A trained moderator reads every post and comment before friends see it.
You can unfriend, block or report anyone, anytime. They aren’t told who reported them.
Only give your code to people you know and trust in real life.
